Bay-Bay Water is produced and processed in Georgia using natural Georgia Spring water and then distilled. Distilled water is the purest form of drinking water on the planet. It undergoes a process of purification that occurs by boiling water into vapor and condensing it back into a liquid form. Our distilled water has a sterilization process removing both organic and inorganic contaminants in the water. Thus, our distilled water gives a pure form of water. We also sterilize every bottle before filling them up.
Yes, our water is 100% Distilled. Our process is FDA compliant and it is regularly tested by third-party laboratories to verify the water's distillation purity. To be able to sell bottled distilled water you need a COA (Certificate of Analysis). Certifying that it has followed testing requirements for chemical and physical contaminants established by the U.S. FDA Quality Standards 21 CFR Section 165.110(b).
Sterile water is a water free from organic materials but is still not free from inorganic chemicals. Our distilled water has a sterilization process but removes both organic and inorganic contaminants in the water. Thus, our distilled water gives a pure form of water. We also sterilize every bottle before filling them up.
Bay-Bay Water uses a 0.5 micron filter because it effectively removes a wide range of impurities, including sediment and certain bacteria, which is particularly important for ensuring the safety and cleanliness of water intended for babies.
It's important to note that our distilled water has already undergone a thorough purification process. This process involves heating the water until it vaporizes, then condensing the vapor back into liquid form. This method naturally removes most contaminants, including minerals and microorganisms. The 0.5 micron filter is used as an additional step to ensure that any remaining impurities are captured, making the water extremely pure and safe for your baby.
Thus, while smaller micron filters like 0.2 could theoretically filter out even smaller particles, they are not necessary in this context. The 0.5 micron filter strikes the right balance between efficiency and thoroughness, ensuring that the water is both clean and readily available without unnecessary delays or added costs.
We don't add minerals to our water because this can change the balance of the minerals in the formula, and this can cause a child to overdose on minerals and vitamins. An overdose of minerals can cause health concerns for your child, especially in the gastrointestinal tract. This can cause nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and vomiting. If you'd like to learn more about this topic read this blog: The Dangers of Using Tap Water for Baby Formula.
No, Bay-Bay Water is 100% free of Chlorine, Fluoride, Pesticides, Minerals, Viruses, Mold, Fungi, Parasites, Bacteria, Lead, Chloramines, Mercury, Herbicides, Aluminum, Ammonia, Arsenic, Barium, Radium, Uranium, Silver, Selenium, Perchlorate, Cadmium, Nitrates, Nitrites, Copper, Chromium, and much more.
Bay-Bay Water is neutral with a pH of 7, but once the bottle is opened it absorbs carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, it can slightly become a pH of 6 once opened. We do not add any chemicals like Soda ash (sodium carbonate) and sodium hydroxide to raise the pH of the water to near neutral. We prefer to leave it as nature intends it to be. Bay-Bay Water is produced and processed in Georgia using natural Georgia Springwater and then distilled.
The expiration / shelf life for Bay-Bay water is 3 years. On the bottle, you'll see a series of numbers. This series of numbers uses the Julian calendar. The first three digits will be in regards to what day of the year it was produced followed by the year it will expire. (Ex: September 9, 2024 would read 25224)

Yes, we do use an ozone sterilization process when we first get the water from our spring, to sterilize the water to ensure it is free of bacteria and microorganisms prior to distillation. There is no need to worry at Bay-Bay Water safety is our number one priority and we follow FDA compliance procedures that's why we use ozone. Ozone is a naturally occurring gas that is used as an environmentally friendly disinfectant and dissipates within 24 hours. Using ozone is our preferred method of disinfection rather than using harmful chemicals like chlorine which can be left behind in the water. Below are two links to blogs that go more in-depth about the Ozonation of Water.

No, we do not add any additives in our water. Our water is produced and processed in Georgia using natural Georgia Spring water. We first use an ozone sterilization process when we first get the water from our spring, to sterilize the water to ensure it is free of bacteria and microorganisms. Once our water has gone through the ozonation process it is then filtered by a .5 micron filter. Then our water is distilled, it undergoes a process of purification that occurs by boiling water into vapor and condensing it back into a liquid form. After the distillation process is over the water is filtered again to ensure a pure product. Bay-Bay Water is produced by boiling water to produce water vapor, which is then cooled and condensed back into liquid form. This process removes impurities and minerals from the water, including calcium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, and magnesium sulfate, along with virtually all other substances. The result is very pure water. Thus, our distilled water does not contain calcium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, magnesium sulfate, or any other minerals or impurities. It's essentially just pure water (H2O) with no additional substances.
